Lisa LeBlanc releases a music video for You Look Like Trouble (But I Guess I Do Too). The video is for the first single off her Highways, Heartaches and Time Well Wasted EP which was released in fall 2014 via Bonsound. Gritty and purposeful, the video was directed by Didier Charette. What looks to be the first scenes of a ragged ultimate fighting story takes a sharp twist into the high stakes world of underground chess. The intense video is shot with glimpses of Lisa and her band’s electric live performance throughout.
During her 2014 fall cross-Canada tour, Lisa performed sold-out shows in Ottawa, Toronto and Hamilton, and charmed everyone she met all the way to Vancouver. She will return to Ontario for a few encore performances in Ottawa (April 1st), Kingston (April 2nd) and Guelph (April 3rd).
Highways, Heartaches and Time Well Wasted, Lisa LeBlanc‘s EP in English, is now available in stores, on bandcamp and on iTunes via Bonsound. You can also purchase a deluxe version on iTunes which includes a filmed performance.

her English debut, which mixes Americana and Maritimes music with painfully poignant lyrics, should ensure the rest of the country knows about her as well. – Jesse Kinos-Goodin, CBC Music
Highways, Heartaches and Time Well Wasted was recorded in New-Brunswick with her musical conspirators – Maxime Gosselin (drums) and Jean-Philippe Hébert (guitar). The disc includes five originals and a cover of the traditional folk song Katie Cruel, popularized by American singer Karen Dalton. The talented young Montreal-based producer Emmanuel Ethier brought an unexpected creative force out young Acadian.
